    Exit firefox, empty both the profile and the xxxxxx.default directory. Then copy the content of your backup to the default directory. Wait a few minutes...

    Yes, the box that says "Allow this file to run as a program" has the exact same meaning. Just make sure it is marked and you are good to go.

    You don't have to do that actually. It doesn't matter if Firefox is running or not, the synchronization happens every 5 minutes anyway.

    Can0n, I can do both uploads and download with no problems. I have done a lot of configs in about:config that is not mentioned in the guide.
